Liverpool, library

The Liverpool City Library is located along George Street, in the south western suburb of Liverpool. The John Edmondsen VC Memorial clock commemorates the sacrifice of Corporal Edmondson who was awarded the first Victoria Cross of World War II. It is inscribed with the names of the fallen from the Boer War, World War I and World War II. It was originally located at the south end of Macquarie Street, but in 1988 it was moved to the Liverpool City Library forecourt.

  1. An interesting combination of the Boer War/WW1 memorial clock and modern library architecture.

  2. ...this blue color was popular in the '60s here.

  3. The entrance makes me want to go in and browse.
